Lyric videos everywhere!

Yes, I made another.

The official lyric video for my December 2023 single, “Over For You”, releases on September 3rd on my YouTube channel. I didn’t expect to enjoy making lyric videos as much as I do, but I can’t seem to stop making them. There’s a strong storytelling aspect to these videos even though they’re not traditional music videos with a clear storyline. As much as I can given my current skill set, I try to encapsulate the feel of each song in the lyric videos I make, so that it stands as a chapter in the story of Exiled Hope with a distinctive look and emotion. It’s like looking through a window at a scene in the story. Here, the story told in “Over For You” is intended to be hopeful, hence the brighter atmosphere, whimsical characters and art style depicted (this painting is from 1628), and effects that I chose for the video (sunlight and little flowers drifting from the trees). Music has always carried strong visual associations for me, so my lyric videos are an exercise in conveying those visual associations to my audience.
